In this week’s discussion post, I chose an emerging technology that I believe is on that same path is the evolution of standard television to ultra HD televisions, such as 4K or OLED televisions. I noted that 4K technology is higher quality and a newer resolution, but it is not a new piece of technology. It’s no different from the HD televisions that many people own today, which also may mean that this technology emerges as to what is known as a rhyme of history (Laureate Education, 2014j).

Naquai, Good post. I've read about the 8K models now. In my film class, we talk about the hi-def pictures and how it almost takes one ouf of the "illusion" of films. I can understand with sports and scientific purposes, but I wonder to what the entertainment value of such resolution serves. I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
